Tax Specialist
We are seeking an experienced tax specialist with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Candidates need strong research, communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Thompson Ultra Tax experience preferred.
Typical duties include:
· Completing corporate and individual tax returns
· Assuring compliance with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations
· Conducting research and planning according to applicable tax laws and regulations
· Minimizing tax liability through sound and informed application of laws and regulations
· Providing assistance during tax audits
· Responding to notices from tax authorities
· Effective communication with clients, both verbally and in writing
